Abstract: This paper focuses energy efficiency of sensor nodes which in turn determines the efficiency and life time of Wireless Sensor Networks. This paper discusses routing algorithms for minimizing the energy consumption to improve the life time of a wireless sensor network. In order to overcome energy holes drainage problem due to non-uniform node distribution in the network, an energy hole removing mechanism keeps a node into sleep mode if the node energy is less than the threshold. © 2017 IEEE.
